Black Rock Builders was founded to create legacy homes, that tread lightly on the environment. Our mission is to build beautiful, high-performance homes, that bring your core values to life. We believe you shouldn’t have to sacrifice the energy efficiency of your home due to cost. We believe that each home built sustainably today has a positive impact on the future of our earth, and take craftsman’s pride in all aspects of the process, from foundation to frame.
For 17 years we were partners in the operation of Black Brothers Builders, Inc., a pioneering net zero construction company working extensively throughout Maine and New England. During this time we partnered with architects, designers and homeowners (we love napkin plans!) to bring their high-performance building visions to life. We have built net zero homes, multi-unit buildings and commercial projects ranging in size from 400 sq ft tiny houses to 8000 sq ft homes, across this beautiful state.
Today, as Black Rock Builders, we focus on projects that allow us the opportunity to build a partnership with each customer, and challenges us to use our background and skills to bring you exactly what you dreamed of. We build each project from site work/foundation to finish/mechanicals with our talented team of employee-owners, and in most cases sub-contracting only electric and plumbing.

While our focus is high performance new home construction, we strive to serve all construction needs. If our schedule allows, we also do projects as small as bathroom remodels and decks.
